About Great Angels Foundation

We support people living with sickle cell across Greater Manchester. Our focus is simple: practical help, clear information, and welcoming groups for families. We work alongside NHS teams, schools, employers, and community partners—never as a substitute for clinical care, but to help you prepare, act early, and feel heard.

Why we exist
People often struggle to find timely, trusted information when it matters most. Day-to-day challenges at home, school, and work need realistic adjustments. Community, peer support, and confident self-advocacy improve outcomes.

How we work
Self-referral or professional referral (with consent).
Two-working-day response with options, dates, and access needs agreed. Brief, focused support: appointment preparation and follow-ups, peer groups, youth sessions, and short workshops.
Strong safeguarding and data protection under UK GDPR; eligible roles have DBS checks.
